*** On a side note, after nearly a lifetime in Chicago, I learned that this street Goethe is pronounced "Geerta," really! I guess when you name a street after a person you kind of have to pronounce it right.

ReplyDeleteIt's always amusing to hear the 151 bus drivers' various pronunciations: Goh-thee, Goath, Gerta, Gerty. The combinations are endless. Those umlauts are tough.
